Chase Harper USA 3550 Aeropac II Saddle Bags Review

Chase Harper USA is widely known for their motorcycle luggage. They offer a range of products that will likely meet your needs. Today, we’ll take a look at the Chase Harper USA 3550 Aeropac II Saddle Bags.
I came across Chase Harper years ago. I was looking for a decent set of soft saddlebags, and a friend of mine recommended I give them a try. I didn’t really know what to expect, but the rapid mounting / dismounting system was intriguing.
They aren’t kidding when they say quick mount / dismount. These things take less than a minute to put on, and are equally easy to take off, even when they are full. It’s a great feature, especially when travelling. I was on a trip with some friends. We stopped at a motel for the night, and while the others were unpacking their saddlebags, I just pulled mine off the bike and carried them into the room. (They come with handles so they can be carried like a gym bag.)
The bags are decent size, with dimension of 14” long, 8” wide, and 11” high. Their listed capacity is 20 liters per bag, but I’ve likely managed to cram more than that in them and they handled it just fine. As for durability? I’ve had them on my bike for 15 years, and I just recently had to get a new pair. Keep in mind, they were used a lot, in all kinds of weather and they held up surprisingly well.
My only real complaint with them is that they are not waterproof. This is in no way a dealbreaker, as I knew when I bought them that they aren’t waterproof. Besides, there are other ways to take care of that — whether by getting a waterproof cover (available on the Chase Harper website) or my preferred method of putting everything in a plastic garbage bag and throwing the whole thing in the saddlebag.
There are some cheaper (and more expensive) options for saddlebags, but I’ve tried a few and have always come back to the Chase Harper USA 3550 Aeropac II. These are easily my favorite soft saddlebags, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!
You can check them out at Chase Harper or Amazon, or a few other websites that I’m too lazy to look up.
NOTE: I am not affiliated with Chase Harper, Amazon, or anyone else. I purchased the Chase Harper USA 3550 Aeropac II Saddle Bags on my own and this is my honest opinion about them.
